Eligibility
A candidate applying for the UoG Scholarship must:
- be a national of Syria;
- be available for the entire period of the selected course and be physically and mentally able to take part in the entire course;

demonstrate a solid link between his/her educational background and the selected course and motivation to actively engage within the community;

meet the admission requirements of the selected course. As such a candidate must have a General Certificate Exam Diploma (undergraduate courses) or bachelor’s degree (graduate courses) in one of the selected fields of study and meet other educational or professional requirements, which may vary per course. In that respect if a candidate is accepted at UoG, s/he will automatically become a candidate for the scholarship. For more details, consult the Student Support Desk;
- offer evidence of proficiency in speaking and writing the language of instruction (English or Turkish). Preferably, a candidate can provide evidence in the form of an official and verifiable score in an internationally recognized test such as TOEFL (a score of at least 550 points on the paper-based test or 213 points on the computer-based test or 79 points on the internet-based test), or TOMER (C1 Level). The final decision about a candidate’s language proficiency lies with the University;
- complete an UoG Scholarship application form and submit in one folder all the required documentation to Civic Involvement Project Centre(a candidate can only submit one application). The folder can be submitted in person or by (regular) mail (Address provided below. Folders that arrive after the deadline will not be taken into consideration).
UoG Scholarship for the Undergraduate students will be awarded retroactively and both existing students and newcomers are eligible to apply.
Information about the scholarship disbursement will be provided to students upon the announcement of the selection process.
