This event was coordinated with TDP, UDEF (Federation of International Student Associations), Gaziantep Municipality and Syrian Scholarship students. The event aimed to educate talented international and Turkish students in rhythm, choir and folk dances to produce performances at the international student festival. The Trainings were given at GAÜN Conservatory. Each training is 60 hours and 180 hours in total. The students chose a course according to their interests. They attended classes and prepared for the festival. This year, Syrian elementary school children from Önder Foundation also participated in the event and sang songs in 5 different languages. The event also aimed to socialize Syrian students without stressing the nationality of the refugee, but rather proposing the concept of internationality. The first group consisted of Turkish, Syrian and international students who were promising enough to create an efficient environment for all students.
International students had the chance to represent their own culture. With the support of Gaziantep Municipality, tents were set up for every country that wanted to represent their culture in the festival area. All ingredients were provided by the project for those who would like to serve their traditional food. The students prepared food for the International Student Festival. This event aimed to introduce music and dance, etc. to all international students in GAUN. It ended with an Traditional Costume Fest of students that allowed them to represent their culture through. For three days, international dishes were presented by international students and photographs were exhibited. With this event, Syrians, Turks and other international students had the chance to know their culture, discover common things about food or art, and did most of the activities as a team.
