SADA Women's Development and Solidarity Foundation Centre officials and the project team came together at Gaziantep University CIP centre and the event day was planned.
It was held with the participation of 15 foreign national (mostly Syrian) girls, the project team and our scholarship students, who were guided by the officials of the SADA Women's Development and Solidarity Foundation Centre.
The aim of the event was to encourage our girls to university life in order to increase their participation in university education and to raise awareness about the benefits of being a university student. In this context, Gaziantep University and scholarship program project was introduced in detail and activities were carried out in different institutions. The event schedule is as follows:
Within the scope of the event, firstly, the Mavera Congress and Art Centre located in GAÜN was visited and the centre was introduced in detail. Afterwards, the Library and Documentation Department was visited. Detailed information about its resources and how students can benefit from this facility was given by the head of the library. Then, the short films in which detailed information about Gaziantep University, Civic Involvement Projects Centre, and the projects carried out were watched in the movie theatre of the library. Afterwards, the students came together with Dr. Muhammed Musa Budak, the secretary general of the university, in the GAÜN rectorate senate room. During the meeting, students expressed their ideas, questions and comments directly to the administrators. Finally, the gifts prepared by CIP centre were presented to the participants.
